We're all being urged to use the internet and social media to get our business message out to the widest possible audience before our competitors beat us to it. But what are the legal risks involved in all this emailing, Facebook-posting and tweeting? Paul Kallenbach, of law firm Minter Ellison, says the laws against defamation, misleading or deceptive content and abuse of copyright still apply. If you have editorial control over published information, you're at risk if you don't remove it quickly when a problem arises.
