  Watch out! The IR game has new rules and and the unions have been dealt a strong hand. The industrial relations landscape in Australia is undergoing dramatic change, as the Rudd Labor Government's Fair Work legislation brings an end to Work Choices and puts trades unions back in a central role. Joydeep Hor of Harmers Workplace Lawyers says there are opportunities for employers in the new arrangements, but threats as well. He says the unions stand to have greater power in bargaining than ever before, and many employers are not prepared.
