Running Time: 8:18 Date: 01/12/2015 Peter Baines would like to see businesses work more collaboratively with charities so they can both improve their bottom line. After founding his own charity ‘Hands Across the Water’ directly after the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami in Thailand, Peter saw how the traditional disengaging way of dealing with not-for-profits – by giving money or time once a year – wasn’t in the best interest of either parties. He wrote a book, ‘Doing Good by Doing Good’ to provide practical steps on how to better engage with charitable organizations so that everyone wins. Topics: Management |
