Running Time: 10:21 Date: 01/12/2013 Just a glass, thanks! Georgia breaks new ground in wine habits Georgia Beattie's smart, persistent, and one of Australia's young entrepreneurs who has found a new idea and run with it. She had to overcome industry reluctance to invest in her new idea - but she's now breaking through the barriers and her single-serve wine-in-a-glass concept is taking off both in Australia and in Asia where she first thought the product would work. She's learned a lot since the idea first occurred to her back in 2008, during a Melbourne laneway festival where she couldn't buy a glass of wine because it was all too difficult for the organisers to serve. She's now showing them how it can be done with her Lupe wine business. It's working for the events market in Australia, for the more restrained wine drinkers of Asia, and now she's doing deals with supermarkets. That's quite a journey in just five years. Here's her story. Topics: Business Growth, Success Stories |
