Running Time: 7:53 Date: 06/05/2013 Economic indicators are generally looking a little brighter, but the Federal Budget will give a us a clearer idea of what's in store. Business indicators are generally showing some signs of improvement as we move into autumn, though manufacturing - except for niche areas - is still struggling to overcome the high dollar. That's the view of resident economist Professor Neville Norman of Melbourne University on the eve of the Federal Budget. He sees little chance of further falls in interest rates any time soon, but expects the dollar to remain high.
