A secondhand sewing machine and a roll of cheap cloth don't seem the ingredients for creating a successful internet clothing business, but that's how young Brisbane entrepreneur James Lillis got started. Four years later, he and his marketing manager Cameron Parker employ more than a hundred people, sell their leggings worldwide to an enthusiastic community of customers, and are about to diversify into gym gear and other lines. And they attribute a lot of the success of Black Milk Clothing to social media - a team of six now monitors feedback from customers and ensures there's a constant and up-to-the-minute dialogue.
