Running Time: 8:15 Date: 01/04/2013 As an entrepreneur, take expert advice but make your own decisions - remember the buck stops with you. Entrepreneur Creel Price started his first business at the age of 11, set out to be a millionaire by 30 and succeeded. With a colleague and $5,000 each, he started a business which they sold just before the GFC for more than $100 million. He says the thing they were most proud of was their staff culture - they'd hired, trained and developed the careers of more than 1,000 employees. Sadly, the business - Blue Print Management Group - later fell victim to the economic downturn and, says Creel, to some bad decision-making, including the loss of that staff culture. He says entrepreneurs and business leaders should always listen to advice but, in the end, make their own decisions and not try to second-guess themselves.
