The constant expansion of technology has seen businesses, both large and small, look to new ways to increase profit and productivity and manage staff. One area that's gaining much traction globally is the area of teleworking - working from home or some other location outside the office. According to Chris Ridd, Australian Managing Director of online accounting software specialists Xero Australia, teleworking is the way of the future, and while the uptake of teleworking has been slow in Australia, it's a different story globally. IBM, for instance, has more than 45 percent of its 400,000-strong workforce already working remotely. In this interview, Chris Ridd explains the advantages of teleworking for businesses.
