A recent survey of senior staff and partners at medium-to-large accountancy and legal firms found that most were using tablet computers, like iPads, that they had bought themselves. And only 10 percent of firms had a strategy covering their use, including issues like security of information. Rick Ness of Thomson Reuters, who conducted the survey, says the convenience and flexibility of tablet computers is a great attraction, as well as the capacity to provide more in-depth information to clients while on the move.
