The jobs scene is already reflecting the improvement in the economy, but the emphasis is on careful recruiting to build strong teams for the year ahead. After a marked improvement in the second half of 2009, the recruiting situation looks promising in 2010, says Jason Snell, CEO of Final5. He says sales staff were the first to experience the upturn, with administrative and support staff close behind. Now, unemployment might rise a little further but not to the levels previously feared. Jason Snell says smart companies are taking the opportunity to recruit talented people to strengthen their teams, but they're doing it carefully - checking references and selecting the best people available.
