True leadership's a two-way street - use your heart as well as your head to achieve mutual trust and respect. By showing that they genuinely care about the people who work for them, the best leaders are able to develop a mutual trust and respect which helps the business thrive. That's the view of experienced CEO and business coach Ken Wright. In his book, The People Pill, he explains how "heart" and "head" combine to produce positive results. A good leader, he says, will set high expectations and hold others to achieving them too. But it's important to let people know where they stand, and help them to develop in their roles. Once that's achieved, it's time to apply the same caring approach to the customers.Topics: Leadership, Personal Development |
