Plenty of activity in the mid-range housing property market, with first-home buyers busy and investors looking for a safer haven than the stock market. As the global recession continues its grip on the Australian economy, what's happening in the property market? Perhaps surprisingly, quite a lot, says Nicholas Don of investment consultancy Odyssey Financial. He says the middle range housing sector is especially active, with low interest rates and high rental yields providing plenty of opportunity for investors who may still be wary of re-entering the stock market.
