Helping Managers Deal With Conflict
We've probably all seen it at some stage - the difficult worker who rubs people up the wrong way. It's a problem for productivity but it's also a problem for the manager or supervisor, stuck between the boss and the rest of the staff, and unskilled in sorting out relationship problems. Richard Hart and Joe Moore are conflict management specialists with the company Proactive Resolutions and they've seen it all before. Take, for example, a problem at a manufacturing plant. The forklift operators on the shop floor needed to change their batteries regularly. Simple enough, you'd think, except for one person - the person responsible for maintenance. Richard Hart takes up the story with Heather Dawson. Topics: Human Resources, Management |
