These are the words of the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, Bruce Billson, who is telling governments that something needs to be done soon to stop the decline. Bruce has come up with a 14-point plan to reverse the situation, which has seen the small business economic contribution drop from 41 per cent to just a third, over the past 15 years.
