According to Dr Rick Kausman, weight loss diets don't work for most people - in fact in many cases any weight loss is regained. Focusing on weight can also lead to eating disorders and causes a stigma. Rick explains that we do far too much "non hungry" eating - the eating that people do when they aren't physically hungry. We eat because food is there without thinking about whether we're hungry. To overcome this, Rick says we should check in with our body to see if we're hungry before we eat.
